A Car Went Into a Belmont Dental Clinic With Patients Inside

On 4 July a vehicle crashed into a dental clinic in Belmont. The collision caused significant structural and glass damage to the shopfront, and a person inside the building was injured.

This is not a glazing job at first

When a vehicle enters a building, the site is an incident scene before it is a repair. Police were on site, there were access protocols to work within, and the immediate question was not what glass goes back in but how to stop anything else happening.

We attended promptly and carried out an emergency make-safe board-up, securing the premises against further damage and removing the risk to the public walking past.

Working alongside emergency services

All work was completed in line with building safety requirements and site-access protocols, coordinated with police who were managing the scene.

That coordination is most of the skill on a job like this. Turning up and starting work at an active incident scene is not helpful; fitting into how the site is being controlled is.
