Weight ranges are a starting point. At the on site measure we size the opening around your pet's shoulder height and chest width, which is what actually decides whether they will use it comfortably.
Transcat Cat Door
CatsOne of Australia's most popular glass pet doors. The clear circular design blends neatly into the glass panel while giving easy access for most household cats.
Small to medium cats. It can also suit selected double glazed installations, depending on the glass configuration.
Four way locking system with lock entry, lock exit, fully locked and fully unlocked modes. The low profile clear design projects approximately 10 mm on both the inside and outside of the glass.
If your cat is particularly large, broad through the shoulders, or hesitant using smaller openings, we may recommend stepping up to the Transcat Dog Door for improved comfort.
Sticks out approximately 10 mm on each side of the glass.

Transcat Dog Door
Small to medium dogsThe larger version of the popular Transcat design. Ideal for many small to medium sized dogs while keeping the same clean appearance in the glass.
Small dogs and medium breeds up to approximately 20 kg, including Beagles, Cavaliers and similar sized breeds.
Four way locking system with lock entry, lock exit, fully locked and fully unlocked modes. The clear circular design projects approximately 10 mm on both sides of the glass and is easy to operate from either side.
Weight is only a guide. We also look at your dog's chest width, shoulder height and body shape to make sure the opening is comfortable to use.

Medium Rectangular Door
Medium dogsA modern slimline appearance with a strong, durable design. A virtually unbreakable flap, magnetic closure and brush weather seal make it a solid choice for everyday use.
Cavoodles, Moodles, smaller Staffies, Maltese Shih Tzus, Cavaliers, Japanese Spitz, Boston Terriers, West Highland Terriers and similar sized breeds. Suitable for pets up to approximately 18 kg.
Secure two way locking system, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate flap, powerful magnetic closure and a full brush weather seal to help reduce draughts. Available with a black or white frame, and projects approximately 8 mm on both sides of the glass.
Every dog is different. We recommend choosing based on your dog's shoulder height and chest width rather than weight alone.

Large Rectangular Door
Large dogsDesigned for larger breeds that need a wider and taller opening without compromising on appearance. Heavy duty construction and a weather sealed design suit frequent daily use.
Collies, large Staffies, Groodles, Labradors, British Bulldogs, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Whippets, Boxers and similar sized breeds. Suitable for pets up to approximately 45 kg.
Secure two way locking system, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate flap, powerful magnetic closure and a full brush weather seal for improved weather protection. Available with a black or white frame, and projects approximately 8 mm on both sides of the glass.
Large breeds vary considerably in size and build. We recommend measuring your dog's shoulder height and chest width before choosing. If you are unsure, we will recommend the most suitable size at the measure and quote.

The prices above are for the pet door assembly supplied and fitted into the glass. The glass itself is quoted separately, because that depends on the panel size, the glass type and the frame it sits in. Send us a photo and we will price the door and the glass together so you get one number, not a surprise.

That is fine, and we fit customer supplied doors regularly. All we ask is that you check the product with us first so we can make sure it will actually work with your frame and the glass going into it.
Most of the time it is no problem at all. Send us the make and model, or a link to the product page, and we will confirm it suits before you buy it or before we turn up. It is a quick check, and it saves the job stalling on the day because the door will not sit in the frame you have.
