A Stone Off the Mower Into an Awning Window, Inverleigh

A lawn mower at an Inverleigh property flicked a stone into an awning window and the toughened panel shattered.

It was a Sunday, and the customer needed the house made safe rather than left open until Monday.

Awning windows sit right in the firing line

Awning windows are usually low on the wall and open outward, which puts them exactly where a mower throws debris. It is one of the most common breakages we attend in this region, and it is almost never carelessness. A stone at that speed does not need a big impact to release a toughened pane.

Same day, on a Sunday

We arrived the same day and replaced the broken panel with a new safety glass unit.

The new glass gives better impact resistance and does not fail by shattering into small pieces across the garden bed, which is a real improvement on a window at ground level.
