Today the Barwon Glass team successfully completed the replacement of a large 140kg double-glazed unit at a residential property with the assistance of the expert operators at ACL Cranes.
The existing glass panel had suffered damage and needed to be safely removed and replaced. Due to the property's challenging access conditions — including a densely planted garden, a 9-metre setback, and a high install point — a crane was essential to complete the lift safely and efficiently.
Using a vacuum lifter and ACL’s mini crawler crane, we carefully extracted the broken double-glazed unit and installed a new panel to restore the building’s thermal and acoustic performance.
🔧 Project Highlights:
-
✅ 140kg double-glazed unit replaced
-
✅ High-reach installation due to elevated window and 9m setback
-
✅ Crane-assisted lift through landscaped garden
-
✅ Seamless coordination with ACL Cranes for precision handling
This job is a great example of the collaborative work required for complex glazing projects, and we thank the ACL team for their reliable support.
