Both were removed and replaced within the hour of our arrival.

Anyone can replace a pane. On a holiday rental the part that actually matters is what the property looks like when you leave.
The next guests were booked. That means no glass dust on the sills, no offcuts in the garden, no tape residue on the frames. We left the inside of the property spotless and guest-ready rather than merely repaired.
Matching the existing glass
The new panels were matched to the existing design so the coastal, light-filled character of the house was unchanged. On a property that people book from photographs, a mismatched pane is a real problem, not a cosmetic one.
